Concord Bar gone back on their word.

Friday night we had a dart tournament at the Concord Bar and grill in South St. Paul MN.

Even though the bar advertises in the in the Night Times newspaper, Lonnie and I invited the dart players we knew, set up the tournament, brought the brackets, collected the money and ran the tournament.

The Concord Bar staff did nothing and has never done anything to orchestrate the tournament. This tournament won't happen unless Lonnie and I are there and that's not going to happen soon since the owner said he would match the prize money, and later didn't match it! NOT DART A FRIENDLY BAR!!!

So there is some work being done to find a location for future dart tournaments. Maybe Draks Pub in Inver Grove Heights would match money for a dart tournament. Lonnie is looking into it.

Nellie and I took 1st Place at our Last tournamment at the Concord Bar

There about 6 of us guys and the rest of the people in the tournament were women that were spending the weekend at the hotel for a bowling tournament at Wells lanes in South St Paul.

There were about 8 women at the bar who joined our tournament. Three or four of them also play in a dart league in Savage.

Nellie, who was my partner, is a machinist who is also an avid Dart player. Don't be fooled Nellie is actually a nickname for this guy.

They say, "It might just be the best darts game ever, but that isn’t saying much"

The ubiquitous sense of low production values will probably discourage even the most hardcore darts fans.

One thing one a customer of mine learned from being married.

I was talking to a customer this afternoon and he was telling me about this kitchen remodel and how he was going to use a tool that he was buying to help him get it done. He told me that he has to get it done or he was going to get into trouble with his wife. He said, "One thing I learned about being married is that you can have countless black belts in martial arts, be the best at marksmanship with guns, and be the burliest, baddest guy, but when you go to bed your wife still has eight hours to kill you."
