Thank so much for your plan that you have implemented to post this!!! I am actually getting teary eyed now, because it is so wonderful. I know our creator has made these magnificent creatures for a special purpose, but I am fully aware that many feel the plight of the tiger has nothing to do with their everyday lives. The greater awareness I believe we must have, is that humankind dominion over the earth (and its creatures) was meant to be a stewardship of the earth. It was never meant to be a them or us situation. TIGERS BELONG to this Planet. They are just trying to do their thing, while being systematically poached. Sadly, our materialistic media mostly regards our fellow creatures, (when they are mentioned) as " oddities ", that basically do not even relate to our " modern " lives! The alarming extinction rate of many species that have already occurred in the last few decades globally, should be telling us something. Our president has recently made great strides in bringing about a more respectful focus back to the environment again. He is tackling many huge issues, though, such as steps to combat global warming and other large scale issues, like his recent wild lands initiative to protect more U.S. wild lands and wildlife. We must maintain a sustainable lifestyle for all, so this is good. He also sent a representative to attend the tiger summit. I believe realistically, however the ground operations need immediate help from the public, since the tiger numbers are drastically low, and because the individuals that count on profiting off the tiger population without reflection have no ethics to stop, and most likely are accelerating their poaching to try and make the most off the population they have drastically reduced, competitively amongst themselves. We can make it possible for the tiger to come back! We can do this, so that some foolish individuals of our species will not be the senseless end of the tigers. The Tiger is the symbol for the greater purpose, of saying enough is enough.....It is time to live within the system our creator intended, by protecting the planets air, water, habitat/species, as best we can at this point in our worlds history.
