Tonight was the first night for the Hastings Chessperadoes Chess Club. Jack W. was there to help me. Jack is a young adult that knows about quite a bit about chess. He use to help Richard V with the Chess Club. I told Jack if he wanted to, he could be responsible for some of the instruction. He mentioned that it would be good for his Resume. I concurred.
We had the kids play some Bug House chess.
I put Jack to doing some on-line research in Chess Tournaments in the local area for him to present in the next Tuesday class. I'll have to figure out what I would like to teach the kids next week.
I'm not sure if there is much interest in doing a ladder match this session. With only an hour for each class there may not always be enough time.

No Dart Love vs The High Fliers.
Last night we went 4 wins and 8 losses in our match against The High Fliers. A couple of their players were on fire and shot better than we did. We tried our best to play "Smart Darts" by keeping ahead of our opponents in points.
I'm kind of disappointed how I threw darts last night. I shot below my last year's average of 2.00 MPR. I brought my average up to 1.83 MPR.
Phil B. got a Hat Trick on his last game. He was pretty happy about that.
Bland McDonald's Coffee Blend - Johns Rating: "Terrible!"
I think this new blend of coffee that McDonalds restrauants is advertising so much, is pretty bland. It's barely any better then their old blend.
Someone should take the executives of McDonalds and get them a real coffee. Perhaps a coffee from Caribou or Starbucks. They should be shown a real example of what coffee should taste like.
